Akeneo is software for managing product information. It keeps every product detail in one place: names, descriptions, specs, sizes, prices, photos and translations. Your team fills in and checks the data there. Then Akeneo sends the right version to your website, apps, marketplaces and print catalogues. It is built in PHP on the Symfony framework, and it has a full REST API.

The free Community Edition is open source and you host it yourself. It covers the core work: attributes, families, categories, product variants, channels, languages and import and export. Akeneo's paid cloud editions add things like approval workflows, a richer asset manager, supplier data tools and hosting run by Akeneo. Akeneo changes its edition names and limits from time to time. So we check the current list with you against what your team really needs, before you pay for a licence.

Yes. We connect Akeneo to Shopify, Magento (Adobe Commerce), WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom stores. We use a ready connector when a good one exists, and build a custom one when it does not. We also connect Akeneo to ERP systems such as SAP, Tally, Odoo or Microsoft Dynamics, so stock codes and base data come in without copy and paste.

Yes. Most projects start this way. We collect your Excel sheets, old database exports and supplier files. We clean them, remove duplicates, map the columns to Akeneo attributes and import them in test runs first. You check a sample in Akeneo before the full import. Photos and documents are moved and linked to the right products.

Yes. We upgrade older self-hosted Akeneo versions step by step, update custom code that breaks on the way, and test imports and exports after each step. If Akeneo is slow, we look at the server, MySQL, Elasticsearch, the job queue and large import files. If moving to Akeneo's cloud makes more sense than another upgrade, we will say so.

It depends on how many products, attributes, languages and connections you have. A small setup with one store connection takes a few weeks. A large catalogue with ERP data, many languages and many sales channels takes a few months. We give you a written plan with time and cost after a short discovery, once we have seen your data.

Yes. We offer monthly support for fixes, small changes, server care, security updates, new attributes and new connections. You can also call on us only when needed. Your team gets training and simple written guides so they can run Akeneo day to day without us.
