Most of what we design is used by someone doing their job: a dispatcher routing forty trucks, a nurse checking a chart, an accountant closing a month. That work rewards clarity over decoration, and it punishes a designer who has never watched a real user struggle.
You will run discovery with us, sit in on user interviews, and own the interface from wireframe to shipped build — including the conversation with the engineers who have to make it real.
What you'll do
- Run discovery and user research: interviews, workflow mapping, and the unglamorous work of watching people use software.
- Own the end-to-end design of a product surface — flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, prototype.
- Build and document design systems in Figma that engineers can implement without guessing.
- Sit with the engineering team through the build and make the calls when reality bends the design.
- Present and defend design decisions to clients with reasoning, not taste.
- Test what you ship: usability sessions, analytics, and the willingness to change your mind.
What we're looking for
- Four or more years designing digital products, with a portfolio that shows shipped work and not just concepts.
- Expert in Figma, including components, variables and prototyping.
- You have designed a complex, data-dense interface — a dashboard, a console, an internal tool — and made it usable.
- Real user research experience: you have run the interviews yourself, not read the summary.
- A working understanding of what is cheap and what is expensive to build, and why it matters.
- Bonus: motion design, or experience designing for low-bandwidth Indian users.
